What this app is
75 Hours helps South Australian learner drivers record supervised driving hours and print them in the format Service SA accepts. It is a record-keeping tool. It does not assess your driving, and using it does not on its own satisfy any legal requirement.
Your responsibility for what you record
A driving log book is a statutory record. Under the Motor Vehicles Act 1959 (SA) section 135(1), a person must not make or include a statement in such a record that is false or misleading in a material particular. The maximum penalty is $5,000 or imprisonment for 6 months.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and honesty of every entry.
- Each entry must be signed by you and by the qualified supervising driver who actually supervised that drive. The app captures signatures fresh each time and never reuses a stored signature, and you must not attempt to work around this.
- You are responsible for confirming that your supervising driver meets the legal requirements.
Requirements can change
Licensing rules, forms and accepted formats are set by the South Australian government and may change at any time without notice to us. Before you submit anything, check the current requirements at mylicence.sa.gov.au and satisfy yourself that the printout is acceptable. We cannot guarantee that any particular printout will be accepted.
Your data is your responsibility
Your logbook is stored only on your device. We hold no copy and cannot recover it for you. If your phone is lost, damaged, reset, or the app is deleted, any data not backed up is gone. Export a backup file regularly, and keep your device backups switched on.
Maps, weather and road names
Route maps, automatic weather and automatic road types are provided by Apple and require an internet connection. They are conveniences, not part of the record: weather and road types can always be set by hand, sunrise and sunset are calculated on the device when the lookup is unavailable, and routes are not part of the printed logbook. Both features can be switched off in Settings, and the app works fully without them.
Weather data is provided by Apple Weather and is subject to Apple's attribution terms.
No warranty
The app is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this app, including lost or corrupted records, a rejected logbook, or any delay to a licence application.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
