Five additions, one of which touches the totals: hours you had already logged on paper now count toward your progress.

Set a date, and see what it takes.

Tell 75 Hours when you want to be finished — a test booking, a birthday — and the Drive screen works backwards from it: the hours a week that needs, how many of them after dark, and roughly how many drives that comes to. Daytime and night-time are worked out separately, because night is where most learners quietly fall behind while the headline total still looks fine.

Hours already in your paper log book.

Almost nobody starts on the day they install an app. You can now enter the daytime and night-time hours you'd already logged on paper, and they count toward your progress instead of leaving the ring on zero. They stay off the PDF — this app can't vouch for drives it didn't record — so your paper log book gets handed in alongside the printout. The export screen says so too, and shows both figures separately.

Sign a week of drives in one sitting.

When several entries are waiting on a signature, the sign-off queue can now work through them one after another. The supervising driver is chosen once, each drive is summarised rather than laid out as a full form, and the signature pads are the only thing that needs a finger. Every entry is still signed individually, exactly as the form requires.

Recently Deleted.

Deleting an entry now moves it to Recently Deleted for 30 days rather than destroying it. Undo it on the spot, or restore it weeks later from the Logbook tab — a mis-swipe partway through a year of driving is no longer the quiet disaster it used to be. Nothing in there counts toward your hours or appears on the printout.

Setting daytime or night-time by hand.

Entries still take their reading from the real sunset and sunrise times for where and when you drove, which is the answer that holds up. For the occasional drive the calculation can't get right, you can now set it yourself.

The first release: a complete South Australian learner logbook that works with no signal at all and sends nothing anywhere.

Two taps around a drive.

Start when you pull out, finish when you park. The date, the times and the duration are filled in for you, and the suburbs you drove from and to are worked out on the phone from a locality dataset bundled inside the app — no network, no lookup, nothing sent. A drive you forgot to time can be entered afterwards just as easily.

Night-time counted from the actual sunset.

Fifteen of the seventy-five hours have to be at night, and the rule is sunset to sunrise, not a fixed hour on the clock. 75 Hours computes both for the exact date and place you drove, so a drive that crosses sunset is split at the right minute rather than rounded to whichever side looks generous.

Signed on the spot, on your phone.

At the end of a drive you pick your supervising driver, sign your own side, and hand over a locked-down screen showing that one entry and nothing else. Their signature is drawn fresh every time — it is never stored and reused, because a logbook where it was would be worth nothing.

The printout the counter asks for.

Export a PDF that reproduces the official log book: daytime and night-time on separate forms, subtotals on every page, and a completed Declaration of Hours. Print it, or take it in on the phone.

The widget, the watch and Siri.

Start or finish a drive from the Home Screen widget, the Apple Watch app, Control Centre or Siri, and watch the timer run in the Dynamic Island with the screen off. A drive finished away from the phone waits under "Needs completing" until you add the suburbs and the signature.

Nothing leaves the phone.

No account, no server, no analytics, no purchase to unlock anything. Backup and restore write a file you keep yourself.
